Controversy Surrounds Ashby BART Task Force, Berkeley Daily Planet (Note: As indicated in a correction in the following issue, this article mistakenly misattributed other people's remarks to me. I never criticized Ed Church for soliciting people to joint the task force; I have no problem whatsoever with him or anyone else soliciting nominees. What matters is who actually ends up on the task force, and to that end, the more nominees, the better. Nor did I claim that nominees were required to endorse the project. So far as I know that's false, since none of the half-dozen nominees I've spoken with reported anything of the sort.--Robert Lauriston)

Residents, City Council Meet on Ashby BART Station Development, The Daily Californian (Note: The comment that "some said [City Manager Phil Kamlarz filed the application with Caltrans] without notifying residents living near the BART station" is potentially misleading; it's a fact that there was no public notice of the October 14 grant application prior to the publication of the December 13 City Council agenda.)
